Nautical Motifs

For merchant mariners like myself, there are many traditions and motifs that are ever-present in life at sea. A particular favorite is the traditional Engine Order Telegraph, or EOT.

Used to signal back and forth between wheelhouses and engine rooms, this simple design represents the cooperation of many hands necessary to a successful and safe voyage.

The EOT dials are produced in very limited quantities, by hand, and are offered to Merchant Sailors, Navy and Coast Guard personnel, and those in seafaring professions.
